Pretty names which aren't 'frilly'?

I'm looking for a girl's name which is pretty but not too 'frilly' or 'cutesy'. I realise it's quite subjective, but does anyone have any ideas? Something which is cute on a little girl but also suits a grown woman? Names which I think fit the bill - Imogen, Phoebe, Serena, Iris, Megan, Iona, Erin... any thoughts?

Love Stella !
From your list, I like Imogen and Iris.
I don't like Serena. Whilst Megan is dated, it's a lovely name.
Iona and Erin are lovely.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Hadn't thought of Josephine / Josie - actually quite like it.

I’ve always loved Laura, it seems very timeless. Elizabeth is also good as there are so many different nicknames, personally I always liked Beth or Liza.
Also;
Jessica
Willow
Constance
Harriet
Eve

Oh and I love Helena but couldn’t use it.

Epponnee · 25/06/2021 15:53

I thought of Iris as soon as I saw the title.

Other options:

DS would have been Adelaide. I think the D sounds make it sound less frilly.

I really wanted to be called Josephine when I was young so I could be Joey (definitely a chalet school thing)

Sophie

Nightbear · 25/06/2021 16:16

It’s tricky. To me, Isobel fits with this but Isabelle is more frilly even though they’re the same name!

BoneIdleBitch · 25/06/2021 16:23

Thea

TatianaBis · 25/06/2021 16:25

Imogen, Phoebe, Iris, Iona.

Love all these, you can’t go wrong with any of them. I’d ditch Megan and Erin personally.

Beatrice
Violet
Nancy
Helena
Isolde
Oriel
Dido
Hero
