Gioia is beautiful, slightly less so in my yorkshire accent than in an Italian one unfortunately.
A new favourite, thanks PP!

A lot of the names above aren't Italian, and others are really old-fashioned which may or may not bother you- think the Italian equivalent of Brenda or Mavis Grin

If you like traditional Saint names like Valentina, then others to consider might be:
Francesca
Luisa
Ludovica
Ginevra
Veronica
Valeria
Chiara
Anna
Sonia
Amalia
Annamaria
Alessandra/Alessia
Giulia
Sara
Angela/Angelica
Silvia
Sofia
Arianna
Adriana
Daniela
Antonia
Giorgia
Beatrice
Lidia
Claudia
Martina
Federica
Rebecca
Erika
Laura
Carolina

Etc.

DubarryChuckle · 27/06/2021 10:28

@supersonicginandtonic how is Gioia pronounced? I've never seen/ heard it before :)

(I like to learn, just in case I ever get a job as a GP receptionist and need to call out people's names Wink Grin )

Not a name that would work - would pronounced Goya or Gyoya.
