Cami knickers (sorry!)

EmpressWitchDoesntBurn · 21/06/2021 20:47

Although tbf no kids are going to think of that.

LapinR0se · 21/06/2021 20:47

God no. You could do Camille which sounds the same mind you

Aquamarine1029 · 21/06/2021 20:47

It can also be used for Camden, which I love.

Aquamarine1029 · 21/06/2021 20:48

To add... Camdyn for a girl.

Watchingthetelly · 21/06/2021 20:49

I just thought "clammy" sorry

LakeShoreD · 21/06/2021 20:52

I know a 3 year old American girl who is Cam/Cammy which is short for Cameron. Cammy could also be short for Camille or Camilla but as a nickname it’s very girly, I really don’t think you can use it for a boy.

cocoloco987 · 21/06/2021 21:00

Very popular here in Scotland (although less so the last few years) always banker for Cameron though ime

cocoloco987 · 21/06/2021 21:01

*short for - no idea where banker came from

Ellmau · 21/06/2021 21:01

I'd honestly think it was a girl's nickname, sorry.

namechange34 · 21/06/2021 21:04

I thought it was a misspelling of Camille. Camille is lovely when pronounced the French way like Cammy (not exactly but close) but I think a lot of people would say it phonetically which doesn't sound so nice.

HollyBen · 21/06/2021 21:05

Cammy is a common nickname for Cameron here in Scotland. I like it

Wakeupin2022 · 21/06/2021 21:07

I really don’t think you can use it for a boy.

Erm no. Its often used for someone called Cameron.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 21/06/2021 21:08

I don't think you should give Cammy has full name but as a nickname it is very sweet. Just doesn't have much gravitas for a grown man-easily outgrown on its own.

I went to Uni with a girl named Camilla but went by Cammie

rdmk · 21/06/2021 21:13

Yeah it's nice! Like someone else said though, a bit cutesy as a full name on its own, perhaps use a full name and nickname him Cammy?

LakeShoreD · 21/06/2021 21:27

Its often used for someone called Cameron
Sorry didn’t realise that. I have 2 male relatives called Cameron and they don’t abbreviate their names. Just my personal experience but I’ve only known girls/women go by Cammy and I’ve lived in Scotland (but only briefly!).

Dollywilde · 21/06/2021 21:28

Sorry, Chris Kamara is my first thought!

ApolloandDaphne · 21/06/2021 21:29

I worked with a police officer called Cammy short for Cameron. I quite like it but you would need a full name rather than just Cammy.

Mabelene · 21/06/2021 21:38

Camouflage?

IslandLulu · 21/06/2021 21:42

I used to know a Camille nn Cammy. I like it.

tryanewname · 21/06/2021 21:43

I know a Campbell nn Cammy

TwinsAndTrifle · 21/06/2021 21:43

Chris Kamara.

Holly60 · 21/06/2021 21:51

Really awful idea

Viviennemary · 21/06/2021 21:52

Its absolutely dire. Like a brand of soap.

Blowingagale · 21/06/2021 21:54

Not as the official name - use as a nickname if you want with one of the full names PP have suggested.
