Mason... is it chavvy? Hmm

Yes in my area but if you like it use it, life is too short.

PurpleyBlue · 21/06/2021 15:48

Love it

elenacampana · 21/06/2021 16:02

Yep.

BigusBumus · 21/06/2021 16:05

Yes its really chavvy I think.

But if you like it, go for it.

PurpleyBlue · 21/06/2021 16:07

Looks like it's really popular in the US

whoknew23 · 21/06/2021 16:09

100% chavvy where I live.

Leo090813 · 21/06/2021 16:11

Yeah I think it's chavvy where I am too, but I kinda like it! But I don't want a chavvy name Confused

Thoughts on Ralph/Ralphie?

OP posts:
PurpleyBlue · 21/06/2021 16:13

If you like it, use it. Someone will always find something wrong with a name. I don't like Ralphie but Ralph is ok. I can imagine an adult Mason more though.

sarah13xx · 21/06/2021 16:20

I’ve never loved Mason, didn’t really think it was chavvy. It wasn’t til I heard them talking about Mason Mount in the England team the other night that I thought what a cool name 🤔 don’t know if it’s the alliteration thing but I thought I actually like Mason! Ralph was on our shortlist 😊

Marcanana · 21/06/2021 16:22

Yes, sorry I think it is.

Marcanana · 21/06/2021 16:23

I prefer Ralph. Not Ralphie

Twinkie01 · 21/06/2021 16:24

Mason is chavvy here too.

Ralph as a proper name is nice. Ralph I was a nickname is cute but I'm not sure a grown up man would want to be called Ralphie.

TatianaBis · 21/06/2021 16:27

Yes.

Any oldies will recall from Spitting Image: "Dear Larry, dear dear Larry. Dear Ralphie".

Gullible2021 · 21/06/2021 16:28

I taught a Mason who was a nightmare. I think it's a Kardashian kid as well.

Ralph is much nicer.

Amdone123 · 21/06/2021 16:32

Awful. It's a surname to me.
Ralph...I've heard of quite a few, so think it's quite trendy atm.

MaMelon · 21/06/2021 16:39

Yep, it is here. He's usually the brother of Riley, Tyler, Hunter and Aymee-Mae.

percheron67 · 21/06/2021 17:07

Yes. I knew someone who named her sons Mason and Marley. Sounded like a firm of builders.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 21/06/2021 17:12

I like Mason - well it's the name of our dog!

Not keen on Ralph.
