Help!! Baby boy middle name ๐Ÿ’™

Rowan081795 · 14/06/2021 14:10

Me and my husband are expecting our second boy and have decided to name him Hendrix but weโ€™re stuck on agreeing to a middle name!
My husband would love for him to be called Hendrix Odin but Iโ€™m not sure I like that but I have no middle names to suggest instead.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks ๐Ÿฅฐ

Hendrix Nathaniel
Hendrix George
Hendrix Elliott
Hendrix Adam
Hendrix Jett
Hendrix Miles
Hendrix Acer
Hendrix Anthony
Hendrix Aaron
Hendrix Niall
Hendrix Dylan
Hendrix Alaric
Hendrix Jude

I think a one syllable name goes well with Hendrix. Such as: Hendrix Jude, George, Ross, Joel, etc

ManicMumma78 · 14/06/2021 15:10

What does your surname begin with? Got to consider initials..

TeeBee · 14/06/2021 15:13

Joss
Jonas
Elliott
James

BluebellsareBlue · 14/06/2021 15:14

Jimmy

Guy?

Rowan081795 · 14/06/2021 15:18

Last name is Rowan โ˜บ๏ธ

I like Hendrix Odin.

What's your surname like? I feel like Hendrix Joshua sounds quite nice but only with a shorter surname.

Warrickdaviesasplates · 14/06/2021 15:22

Oops cross post!

Hendrix Odin Rowan doesn't flow quite as nicely to my ear I'll admit.

Hendrix Joshua Rowan

Hendrix David Rowan

Hendrix James Rowan

I'm feeling like a more boring middle name would be a nice fit to balance your very memorable first and surname.

IAmWibliWobli · 14/06/2021 15:27

Is there a grandparent that you've lost or are particularly close to?

Rowan081795 · 14/06/2021 15:33

I agree a more simple name would go better, I was maybe thinking something like Tate a short and sweet middle name?

No unfortunately one grandparents name is already taken and the other is John which Iโ€™m not a fan of ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

I don't think you should use a middle name personally as Hendrix and Rowan are quite mouthy names (not a bad thing, I'm not sure how to describe what I mean but they don't just flow) so adding more would just be too much.

Middle names are barely used anyway!

Fivemoreminutes1 · 14/06/2021 17:08

Hendrix Beau
Hendrix Blake
Hendrix Finlay
Hendrix Lloyd
Hendrix Hunter

Thefaceofboe · 14/06/2021 17:57

Love Hendrix! I would definitely go with a simple middle name but saying that you rarely use the middle name

17caterpillars1mouse · 14/06/2021 18:47

Hendrix is cool (though I prefer Hendrick) but I think Odin is a bit much. Hendrix is quite out there so maybe something a little more mainstream?

Hendrix Jesse
Hendrix Callum
Hendrix Oliver
Hendrix Malcolm
Hendrix Thomas
Hendrix Elliot
Hendrix Adam

Happenchance · 14/06/2021 19:27

I would go for something that starts with a hard sound and doesn't end in n, such as:
Hendrix Daniel
Hendrix Michael

HumunaHey · 14/06/2021 19:31

Somwthing really short like Hendrix Ace Rowan.

partyatthepalace · 15/06/2021 10:03

Hendrix Odin sounds as if you are are naming him after your husbands two hobbies or something. If you are going to go for Hendrix (are you sure about that?!) I think it needs something short simple and classic after it, which also gives your son some options if he ends up feeling Hendrix is too much. Eg

Hendrix James
Hendrix Joel
Hendrix Jude
Hendrix John
Hendrix Jonah
Hendrix Noah
Hendrix Reuben
Hendrix Rufus
Hendrix Luke/ Lucas
Hendrix Marcus

I wouldnโ€™t go for anything short but not classic like Tate or Ace, heโ€™s got enough of that with Hendrix

CommunistLegoBloc · 15/06/2021 10:05

You can't give your child the initials HOR.

Spied · 15/06/2021 10:05

Hendrix Fox

Breathmiller · 15/06/2021 15:33

Hendrix Jay Rowan?

Greenmarmalade · 15/06/2021 15:36

Jay works well- I like it.
