Angelica or Arabella?!

Hi all,

Baby girl arrived yesterday and is currently nameless! We thought we had whittled it down to Arabella or Angelica...but totally unsure whether she's either of these!

Possibly Arabella Faith and Angelica Grace.. Although very open to middle name suggestions (no family names we would like to use).

Happy to hear your thoughts and any other suggestions we might like. She has a brother called Franklin (who is always Franklin).

Do you think either name is likely to get shortened - by family or maybe schoolfriends? Would you prefer Angie or Bella?

My niece was born this January named Arabella!

Angelica Grace is my favourite. I think it flows better than Angelica Faith, (even though Grace is a very popular middle name ATM).

Lucy or Corinne or Maude as middle names?
Arabella would almost certainly be nn Bella at school.

I think Angelica is the most beautiful name ever (possibly because it's my name ) but Arabella is also a lovely name, and probably slightly more uncommon, (though I haven't met very many other Angelicas either)

Custardcream Yes, I'm usually called Angel, but I use both interchangeably and am glad I have the full, more formal version. The only person who's ever called me Angie is my doctor, but I don't mind that, I think it's quite nice for a change!

Congratulations. Both names are pretty but my choice would be a combo of Arabella Grace.

Angelica for me, I think Arabella is becoming a bit more popular. Angelica Grace is lovely.

Angelica is a beautiful name. Although I'm biased as my lovely sister is called Angelica 😅.
She used to go by Angel with her school friends but her usual family nickname was Jelly/Jellybean.

Arabella out of the two. Angelica is a bit hard-sounding, it's the 'lica' bit I'm not keen on.
