I quite like it. I also like Jarvis.

Travis perkins, some sort of building firm. Not keen doesn't sound like a first name to me

I know a 3 year old Travis and a 2 year old Jarvis. Both good names and lovely kids. Agree with the hate for non-Hooray Henry, insipid type names.

You'll get derogatory comments on here as it's not a hooray henry type name. It doesn't fall into Middle Class safety net or unique faux hippie. I like it.

So true. Mn likes Edmund, Wilfred, Otto and Arlo. Travis doesn't fit the mould. I really quite like it. It's not chavvy at all.

I know an adult one who is an utter tool, so that puts me off, but I don't think I'd have a problem with the name if I didn't already have that association.

I knew an American Travis. Think it may be used a bit differently there.
I’m not immediately fond of it. If ‘your’ Travis were lovely and I knew him then a lot of that would fall away obviously.
Silly because when I think of the sound and look of it I quite like it.
