Boys name list

DH and I are expecting a boy later in the year. We seem to like the same sort of style luckily but nothing is really standing out at the moment.

Thoughts on the below would be much appreciated:

Joey (Joseph)
Rory
Isaac
Hugo

Not keen on Joey but I do like Joseph.
Rory - lovely name but its definitely shooting up in popularity, depends if that's something that would bother you?
Isaac - lovely classic name, love it
Hugo - I quite like this but Joseph and Isaac are much better choices imo

In terms of popularity, DH has a name consistently in the top 20 (multiple per class throughout his school years) and mine has never been in the top 150. Neither situations have bothered us so popularity doesn’t matter too much!

Yeah I agree about Rory , has been outside the top 100 names for much of the last 25 years but is now top 50 having risen about 100 places in past 10 years and already feels quite dated, overdone and doesn't have that classic feel at all

I love Rory but there are flipping loads of them, Hugo is also having a moment so I would probably go for Joseph or Issac as a bit more classic.

Joseph is my favourite of your list - very classic so shouldn't date (and Joey on a little one is very cute but he can also be Joe or even Joss if he wants when older). Isaac is also quite nice.

The others I think will date more/are less timeless - Hugo and Rory both seem to have rapidly increased in popularity recently.

Biased but definitely Joseph.
