I really love the name Bowie for a boy and both me and my partner really want this name. I’m just really struggling as my partners name is Dave (his family call him David) I don’t know if I’m worrying too much what people think as I just love it and have done for so long it feels like it should be his name!

It's one thing to 'worry what people think' or not, it's another to consider the reasons why people are thinking that.

Once you've done that, then you'll probably go for a better choice of name.

Ignore all the other comments, I love the name, although I considered it for a girl but my husband told me there was no way, as his name is David. I personally thought it would be pretty cool but picked it out before even making the connection.
