Maude?

I just saw this name on a kid's show today and all the other characters called her Maudie. Suddenly this name seemed adorable.

Thoughts?

If not, what name would you pair with Tabitha?

Not my style at all but if you do like these names I know a Tabitha and Cecily.

My Nana's sister was a Maude and by all accounts she was a really stern controlling woman so I am not so keen.

I must confess my first thought was Samantha. I was a big fan of the TV show "Bewitched" in the 1960s. Grin

I love the name Tabitha. One of my absolute favourites! But my grandmother was called Maude and she hated it. She called herself by her middle name her whole life.

We have a Tabitha and Beatrix
(Or tabby and bea, or tabbycat and bumblebee depending on who’s talking!)

I felt the names were on par with each other. I have a short common name and both my sisters have long exotic names and I always felt a bit cheated.

@AnyaMoondial

I think Maude is a very elegant name. Very strong. No one would ever dare mess with a Maude.
I'd mess with a Maude. Definitely.
