Thoughts?

DH likes it but thinks it's too close to willy and she will get bullied!

Apols for all typos my mn typing seems to be up the swannee at the moment. Lagging and not picking up letters.

I can imagine it could be turned into a question

Willa Won't I?

Willa Not?

ticktockriojaoclock · 30/05/2021 20:10

Sounds like Willy in a Scottish accent

Haha! Only if the only Scottish person you've ever heard is groundskeeper willy. Oh wait....

MapGirlExtraordinaire · 30/05/2021 20:11

I know a human Willa and also a hamster Willa. I didn't think of willy in relation to either and I love toilet humour!

I say go for it

You’ve got me 😂😂

Beautiful. Love it.

lakesummer · 30/05/2021 20:53

We had a teacher called Willa.
I do think Willow might be a safer choice.

lakesummer · 30/05/2021 20:54

Although in our Scottish accent it doesn't sound like Willy.

Ruthietuthie · 30/05/2021 20:58

I think it's a lovely name. I think immediately of Willa Cather - My Antonia is one of my favourite books - and I'm surprised by all these people who haven't heard of her.
I wouldn't let the fact that so many people aren't very well-read put you off.

Amelia666 · 30/05/2021 21:21

Willa Cather is a mere ter short of a double genitalia based named, fabulous author or not.

sibbys · 30/05/2021 22:56

Willa is lovely. Not close to Willy at all. Billy og Milly are closer to willy 😄

xprincessxjanetx · 31/05/2021 17:12

First thought is a willy too. How about Willow? Much prettier and more feminine sounding, and much less genital offensive.

Flymetothestars · 31/05/2021 19:08

I love Willa!!

I know a little girl called Willa. She's 8 and no ones mentioned Willy not even my son and his mates who all seem to be obsessed with talking about willies!!!

Arent Lily and William more like Willy? They're both top 10 names. I wouldn't worry.
