Middle name to go with Emerald

Hi there!
We're calling our baby Emerald if it's a girl. Trying to figure out a middle name to go with it. Really like nature inspire names but also think it would go with something more neutral cause it's quite a striking name.

Thoughts and creativity appreciated!

Thanks xx

I think it should be one syllable - wren? Or Rose?

Blackdog19 · 22/05/2021 17:43

I think it’s a pretty name.

LeCreusetLover · 22/05/2021 18:17

Emerald Jane?

DotDotDotDotDot · 22/05/2021 18:22

I think I’d choose something like
Emerald Elise
Emerald Alice
Emerald Cerys
A nature type name might sound a bit discriptive with Emerald if you know what I mean. Good luck, Emerald is beautiful by the way.

ILoveStickers · 22/05/2021 18:44

Yes, I think the problem with Emerald + nature is it sounds like a plant (or place). E.g. Emerald Fern or Emerald River.

You could have something more subtly nature related, like Bryony or Róisín.

RuthW · 22/05/2021 18:52

I like something like Emerald Alice, Emerald Florence, Emerald Louise, Emerald Marie

partyatthepalace · 22/05/2021 18:58

Love Emerald

Quite like virtue names with it - Emerald Serena, Emerald Constance, Emerald Hope
Or classical world names - Emerald Athena, Emerald Artemis, Emerald Helena. Or just something very simple and trad like Emerald Margaret, Emerald Frances, Emerald Jane, Emerald Jean

Think nature names might be difficult because it will make it sound descriptive. Other than that just avoid the cliche middle names of Grace, May and Rose

Ikeameatballs · 22/05/2021 18:58

I love Emerald!
I like it with either quite simple names eg:

Emerald Frances
Emerald Jean *
Emerald Hannah
Emerald Anne
Emerald Sarah

Or with something frillier eg :
Emerald Matilda
Emerald Madeleine
Emerald Penelope
Emerald Jemima
Emerald Georgina

Or v classic:
Emerald Elizabeth *
Emerald Catherine

*These are my favourites

Emerald is so pretty!
I don’t think nature names go that well though, as like a previous poster said it just sounds a bit descriptive. I think avoid any middle name that’s a noun and it will sound lovely

happyjack12 · 22/05/2021 19:02

Emerald Joy

Joy is such a good name, goes with lots and sounds happy and positive :)

CeibaTree · 22/05/2021 19:04

How about Emerald Sylvie/a - it's got the nature aspect but doesn't sound like a place name. Emerald is a gorgeous name, good choice!

PainterInPeril · 22/05/2021 19:23

Emerald Jade
Emerald Morgan (emerald and morganite are both beryls. As are aquamarine and goshenite)

OldTinHat · 22/05/2021 19:30

Jade

summerhillgang · 22/05/2021 19:50

@partyatthepalace really live Emerald Constance - that name was on our list

The other one I quite like is Emerald Ophelia

partyatthepalace · 22/05/2021 20:05

Yes it really works!

Ophelia is nice too - Cordelia is another one.

summerhillgang · 22/05/2021 21:05

One of my friends just called their baby Cordelia / Cordy - otherwise I would be tempted!

IslandLulu · 22/05/2021 23:26

One syllable would work well.

Emerald Rose
Emerald Faith
Emerald Bree
Emerald May
Emerald Jane
Emerald Anne
Emerald Ruth

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 22/05/2021 23:56

Emerald Sofia
Emerald Elizabeth
Emerald Grace
Emerald Nicole
Emerald Elise

GravityAndGrace · 23/05/2021 05:00

I love the name Emerald! Some of the names I like with it are:

Emerald Eve, Emerald Evelyn, Emerald Harper, Emerald Asha,
Emerald Riley, Emerald Everly, Emerald Amora, Emerald Ava,
Emerald Aubrey, Emerald Ashlyn, Emerald Aleah, Emerald Enola,
Emerald Ellis, Emerald Lux, Emerald Gemma, Emerald Senna,
Emerald Elora

I hope you let us know what you choose! 🥰

Aquamarine1029 · 23/05/2021 05:07

Emerald Skye

Lemonlemon88 · 23/05/2021 05:18

I think it would go well with something quite classic, Emerald Alice is lovely or Emerald Lucy, Emerald Mary, Emerald Ella, Emerald Anna.

mathanxiety · 23/05/2021 06:05

I would go with a vowel name. The final D is a tough one to follow for consonants.

Emerald Athena
Emerald Aurora
Emerald Alannah
Emerald Elizabeth
Emerald Alexandra
Emerald Alicia
Emerald Olivia

IdblowJonSnow · 23/05/2021 06:31

I really like Emerald op. It's such a strong name I'd be tempted to not have a middle name at all.

It does seem difficult to pair it with another name.

To the pp suggesting jade, is that a joke? It's like saying green green. Shock

VenusClapTrap · 23/05/2021 07:29

I think A names flow best with Emerald. I’d keep it really simple, so Emerald Anne or Emerald Alice. I think a fussy middle name like Ophelia is just too much with it.

ItsReallyOnlyMe · 23/05/2021 07:32

Emerald Faye
