Hi, We are due a girl in a couple of weeks and are stuck between two names Cleo and Lila. Which do you prefer?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I like both. I'd probably lean towards Cleo, as it's more unusual and stronger sounding. Lila is lovely and pretty, but there are a lot of similar sounding names around at the moment (Lyra, Lola, Layla, Lara etc.) Cleo stands out and is cute for a little girl but strong for a grown woman.

Cleo 100%

Cleo - so gorgeous!

Lila - nice enough but way too common at the moment which would put me off.

Orangebug · 18/05/2021 12:06

I prefer Lila. It is more common though.

I like Chloe better than Cleo.

EileenGC · 18/05/2021 12:20

Lila. I’m not a huge fan of Cleo.

Sexnotgender · 18/05/2021 12:21

Cleo. Don’t like Lila, sounds weird to me, like lilo.

Cleo

I love Cleo - quite brave but very cool sounding. Lila blends into other popular names like Lyra, Mila etc (nice as they all are), plus I personally prefer the Lilah spelling.

Cleo x 1000

TempsPerdu · 18/05/2021 19:59

Cleo is much nicer and more distinctive than Lila, which is likely to blend in with all the other currently trendy L names (Lily/Lyra/Layla/Lola et al).

MajorNeville · 18/05/2021 20:01

Cleo.

DramaAlpaca · 18/05/2021 20:06

Cleo, it's strong and feisty. Lila is the opposite.

StevieNix · 18/05/2021 20:10

Both are nice but Cleo stands out for me. It’s beautiful and less used

KirstenBlest · 18/05/2021 21:01

Cleo. I don't like Lila
