Stuck between two girls names

DeeDeeMcF · 17/05/2021 11:10

I'm due in a matter of days and completely stuck between two names for my baby girl!

The middle name is a family name so I am at least fixed on that.

What do you prefer out of

Rose Florence
Annie Florence

Our surname starts with Mc.. (3 syllables)

Thoughts greatly welcomed before I go into labour!

I like Rose best, very pretty name

EverythingWasGolden · 17/05/2021 11:12

I prefer Rose of the two. It's very pretty.

Latelatelate · 17/05/2021 11:13

Annie! Definitely my favourite of the two!
There are so many ‘Roses’ out there!

ApplePie86 · 17/05/2021 11:13

Rose

espressoontap · 17/05/2021 11:14

Rose

IggyAce · 17/05/2021 11:15

I prefer Rose as it flows better with Florence. If you really can’t decide and are open to 2 middle names Annie Rose Florence sounds lovely.

PeskyRooks · 17/05/2021 11:28

I really really like Rose Florence. (My cat is called Rose my old dog is Florence!)

Docsmix · 17/05/2021 11:29

Rose. Not a fan of Annie.

Enko · 17/05/2021 11:37

Rose or Rosa i never cared much for Annie

ILoveMarmiteOnToast · 17/05/2021 11:38

I prefer Annie Florence... it flows better 😊

Cam2020 · 17/05/2021 11:43

They're both cute. Maybe don't commit to either just yet and see what she looks like to you when she's born.

PleaseReferToMeAsBritneySpears · 17/05/2021 11:44

Rose but they're both lovely.

DeeDeeMcF · 17/05/2021 12:06

Thanks all!

KirstenBlest · 17/05/2021 12:07

Annie

namechangemarch21 · 17/05/2021 12:08

Annie. Annie is fun, and adventurous, and says what she thinks. Rose is restrained, refined, and lives a much smaller life.

They're my name prejudices, born out a bit by some real-life acquaintances.

RuthW · 17/05/2021 12:19

Rose

TatianaBis · 17/05/2021 12:21

Rose despite its ubiquity. Annie is a bit twee.

TheFairyCaravan · 17/05/2021 12:21

Annie

Goodtohear · 17/05/2021 12:41

Prefer Annie but don't like it shortened to Ann, therefore I'd go with Rose. I actually think all 3 are beautiful names.

AnyaMoondial · 17/05/2021 12:45

I love Annie.
Rose, Rosie Rosa etc plus all the hyphen-rose names are hugely popular at the moment, they all get a bit muddled together.

MercyBodle · 17/05/2021 12:54

I love both names, and both seem to work perfectly well with the surname. Annie Florence is a better combo than Rose Florence, but Rose Florence is still fine.
I slightly prefer Rose as a first name, and slightly prefer Annie Florence as the whole name, so not much help here!

Edenember · 17/05/2021 15:41

Rose Florence

BlossomD · 17/05/2021 15:42

Annie

BorderlineHappy · 17/05/2021 15:45

I prefer Florence Rose.
But I'd wait till she's here, maybe a different name will suit her.
