Panicking....

So we've had a name picked out for a while now but we are only 10 days away from my c-section and I'm starting to panic...

What if the name we have picked doesn't suit our little man for some reason? We have no back up names that we can both agree on at all

Did this happen to anyone else? Went through pregnancy with a specific name in mind and changed last minute? Did you regret it? Are you glad?

How do I go about finding a back up or should I not worry and stick to what we have planned

You can wait up to 42 days to register your baby’s birth so don’t worry about it. You have time to change your mind.

A name might suddenly occur to you once he's here but even if it doesn't it's absolutely fine if he's nameless for a couple of weeks.

A good thing to do might be to print off two copies of the top 100/200/500! names from the last year and each spend an hour highlighting all the ones you likes. You may find several crossovers.

In the nicest possible way, calm down. Even if he doesn't look like the name you've picked, he'll grow into it. Either that or you'll think of another name before he has to be registered.

I don’t really understand this idea of a name not suiting the baby. Any name suits any baby, IMO.

You have time to decide about the name once he is here - see if it feels right once you meet him. Good luck!

We also have a name picked out, also having a section and I’ve even got an outfit and a blanket with the name because there are just no others I LOVE the same way. If he comes out and looks nothing like it we did have a list of names we liked but I’m just hoping he suits it. Not going to say the name in theatre or anything until he’s out and we’re maybe in recovery then I’ll ask if he’s it 😂
