Iona (unless your surname is a noun!)
I think Maeve is becoming increasingly popular.
Soline is different and I'm not sure I like it.

FolornLawn · 10/05/2021 14:55

How do you pronounce the O in Soline? Like dog or low?

CaffiSaliMali · 10/05/2021 14:58

Which pronunciation of Iona? Eye-o-na or Yonna? The former is more well known.

I haven't encountered Soline before, how is it pronounced? Is the line bit pronounced like line, or leen?

Maeve is probably the most obvious pronunciation wise, unless you're outside of Wales and using the Scottish pronunciation of Iona.

LJaney246 · 10/05/2021 15:06

Hey

It is So-leen as a pronunciation
I like sol as a nn

Delphine is also in the mix 😬

Iona is very Scottish we have no links there so feels a bit shallow to call her that really x

SelkieBe · 10/05/2021 16:27

Iona or Maeve

Kindleandacuppa · 10/05/2021 16:28

Maeve is a beautiful name

halcyondays · 10/05/2021 16:29

Iona

RickiTarr · 10/05/2021 16:32

Delphine is even more beautiful than the others but they’re all lovely.

FolornLawn · 10/05/2021 16:36

Delphine is my favourite, I love Delphie.

Ellmau · 10/05/2021 18:42

Not keen on Soline.

Iona and Maeve are both very nice.

MooseMoose · 10/05/2021 19:57

Iona and Maeve are both lovely. Not keen on Soline or Delphine. May / Mae is very pretty too.

TatianaBis · 10/05/2021 19:59

Iona by miles.

How many people using Sienna and Florence are Italian?

romdowa · 10/05/2021 20:01

I love meave its a beautiful name and has a very interesting history

Synchrony · 10/05/2021 20:02

I love Delphine.
I like Iona.
Not sure about Soline. It's ok.
Hate Maeve.

lunasunshine · 10/05/2021 20:24

Maeve is amazing Smile

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 10/05/2021 20:33

I've always loved Maeve. Delphine is also quite pretty. I'd probably chose more well known Celine/Selene over Soline. Iona is too trendy for me, sorry.

Cotswoldmama · 10/05/2021 20:44

I always think Maeve is just someone shortening Mavis when I hear it! I really don't like it. I like both the other names.

Tillygetsit · 10/05/2021 22:25

I've never heard Soline before but I think it's very pretty and the best of your names as well as being the most unusual.

Youngatheart00 · 10/05/2021 22:30

I’m afraid Soline reminds me of both saline solution for wound care or the malt loaf soreen!!

I like your other suggestions though.

HopeClearwater · 10/05/2021 22:31

Celine is a nicer spelling

user1493494961 · 10/05/2021 22:49

I've never heard of Soline, it sounds a bit odd, I would choose Maeve.

DramaAlpaca · 10/05/2021 22:51

Maeve or Delphine.

LJaney246 · 11/05/2021 06:48

I think it is down to Maeve

Soline would be nn ‘sol’ which I love
