I have a Daragh so it's obviously a favourite of mine 🥰
Other names in the family (if by gaelic you mean Irish):
Seán
Cillian
Oisín
Milo
Lorcan
Tadhg

All of which I love too.

ILoveStickers · 08/05/2021 12:58

If you mean Irish, my favourites are:

Séamus
Dónal
Aidan
Cian

ILoveStickers · 08/05/2021 12:59

Oh, and Cormac!

midsomermurderess · 08/05/2021 14:09

Ruairidh; Somhairle (anglicised to Sorley).

midsomermurderess · 08/05/2021 14:10

Scots Gaelic.

Checkingout811 · 08/05/2021 14:13

Ruairidh is the Scottish Gaelic spelling. Assuming your friend wants an Irish name; Ruairí is the correct spelling. However, there are lots of other lovely Irish boys names that would be easier for your friends DC if they live in England.

Oh thank you everyone! You're suggestions are great Smile

Torin

Rathmobhaile · 09/05/2021 09:42

Fionn (means fair haired)
Liam (traditionally a version of William but actually has an origin in a different Irish source)
Oisín
Fergal
Rian
Tomás
Padraig
Ciarán

Do check out how these names are pronounced though - the emphasis in Irish names are different and alter their sounds so they don't read as though you're reading English words. And a fada (the accent over some vowels) acts like it puts extra of that vowel in so that influences it.

Thank you everyone these will be passed along to her :) x

My brothers names are Darragh, Ruaídhri, Tomás. We love the Dabhan (davin) and Donnècha (donn-eh-ka)

FolkSongSweet · 11/05/2021 20:01

I love Lorcan and Donnchadh (Donnacha)

Allstoppedup · 11/05/2021 20:04

My youngest is Carrick :)

Drunkenmonkey · 12/05/2021 08:44

Cillian, best name ever. Also love Tadhg and Ruairi/Rory.
I think Shea is nice (Shay) either on it's own or a nickname for Seamus.

Trying2310 · 14/05/2021 23:47

Aodhan
Padraig
Ruairi
Oisin
My favourite Odhran

MimiDaisy11 · 15/05/2021 08:59

Is it Irish or Scottish Gaelic? Or not important?

I'd suggest Alasdair to add to the names already suggested above.
