3 adoring sisters - Stella, Nora and Esme. Is Henry too common now?

Sebastian. I like Seb as a nn. George and Henry are nice, but there are a lot of them around, plus they have a bit of a royalist vibe to my ears..

Violetlavenders · 04/05/2021 16:33

George

Sebastian is ok but the shortenings are unfortunately not nice at all - Seb, Sebbie, Basty Shock

Violetlavenders · 04/05/2021 16:33

Your girls names are beautiful and much more unusual than your boys suggestions,

EvilOnion · 04/05/2021 16:36

I think they're all nice, Sebastian is my favourite but I have a thing about names being shortened so I'd probably go with George.

Thisnamewasnttaken123 · 04/05/2021 16:36

George

EvilOnion · 04/05/2021 16:38

@Violetlavenders every second girl here is called Esme!

Popular names are used lots for a reason imo. Go with what you love :)

ShelleyI83 · 04/05/2021 16:53

Ah that’s so funny! Where we stay I know of a couple but not any in our daughters year or have been in her baby / toddler / nursery classes as she’s grown!

Open to suggestions at this point as we are so stuck!

I like Henry and George.

EvilOnion · 04/05/2021 16:58

That's what I mean, sorry if that seemed rude! Blush

It's a lovely name and I really think popularity varies by area so wouldn't get too hung up on what's common :)

I love George and Henry, they're classic names. I also like Jacob, Liam, Thomas, Christopher, Matthew, Leo.

SamMil · 04/05/2021 17:01

I like Henry (it was on our list but we had a girl!). But all are nice names Smile

YellowGlasses · 04/05/2021 17:02

Do you mean common on popular? Because whilst Henry might be popular, it always has been and always will be but it’s a name well suited to a king (or eight) as much as a man in any job role.

ShelleyI83 · 04/05/2021 20:46

Such a good point! I suppose I meant popular!

I like Henry best, then George. Don’t like Sebastian at all.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 04/05/2021 23:17

I like traditional Henry and it "fits" best with his siblings name style too imo. George is a bit too classic/over used in comparison and Sebastian seems slightly frilly/elaborate somehow compared to his sisters names to me.

Have you checked ONS stats to see how popular it is in your area? - I don't know any very young Henry's personally despite it being overall fairly high in the top 100.

DramaAlpaca · 04/05/2021 23:21

Henry is by far my favourite.

I've never been keen on George.

A big no to Sebastian, really dislike it. It's also far too long to 'go' with your girls' names.

Tambourina · 04/05/2021 23:36

Sebastian / Seb, love this name

Notlong · 06/05/2021 11:16

Love George and Henry X

TatianaBis · 06/05/2021 11:59

I much prefer the name Sebastian but George or Henry go better with the other names.

Violetlavenders · 06/05/2021 14:43

Sebastian is a little too long.

George or Henry.

Theoldwoman · 06/05/2021 14:45

I was going to say Sebastian, but as you already have a Stella, I will go with my second favourite - George.

Edenember · 06/05/2021 15:58

Your girls names are beautiful.

I’d rule out Sebastian as the longer length / syllable count seems unbalanced with the others. Henry and George are both lovely. I think I might marginally prefer Henry, but not sure.

starfire88 · 08/05/2021 09:18

We have a Sebastian in our family. Seb or Sebby for short. I really like this name, and I disagree with the others and say it does go with your girls names.

Henry and George are also really nice. I think I slightly prefer Henry to George though.

Chickoletta · 08/05/2021 09:41

I love Henry but think that George goes better with your beautiful girls’ names.
