I really like Ellen is unexpected. Lovely name

elliemara · 03/05/2021 07:58

Imo Ellen goes nicely with Lucy.
Otherwise I like Elise the best - such a beautiful yet underused name.
Charlotte is also lovely but a bit more boring perhaps.
Madeline looks misspelled to me, is it not missing an e?

MercyBodle · 03/05/2021 14:10

I would narrow list down to Ellen, Annabel and Imogen. Lovely!

Charlotte is fine, but has been very popular for a long time. Eloise is okay.

Theoldwoman · 03/05/2021 15:08

With Lucy, I love:

Charlotte
and
Annabel

Other suggestions:

Lucy and Clare
Lucy and Beth
Lucy and Nina
Lucy and Kate
Lucy and Zara

Ellen - I like
Charlotte - I love
Annabel - I really love but I would spell it Annabelle
Imogen - quite like
Eloise - quite like
Cassie - I like
Elise - I like
Madeline - I really like

Hope that helps Smile

Ceepeee · 03/05/2021 15:27

They're all a good set of names IMO. My favourites are Madeline and Cassie.

Ceepeee · 03/05/2021 15:28

@MotherOfGodWeeFella

Cassia is a spice!
Yes, but that's a good thing.
sarah13xx · 03/05/2021 16:03

Ellen, I’ve always loved
Elise was going to be my girl’s name at one point, really like it!
Charlotte is a classic but I’m a bit Kate Middleton obsessed so I love it 🤣 don’t know what I’d pick out of the three!

Bluesername · 03/05/2021 16:16

I like Annabel and Cassie best (and yes, also Cassia)

rainbowsandfairydust · 03/05/2021 17:47

Thank you so much for all your opinions and feedback I am enjoying reading through them all Smile

My faves are Charlotte, Eloise, Imogen & Cassie. Probably Eloise & Imogen the most :)

LakeShoreD · 03/05/2021 17:59

Not Ellen because of the vile DeGeneres woman.
The rest are all lovely but my favourites are Elise and Madeline.

AlmostSummer21 · 03/05/2021 18:05

Ellen - dislike seems dated to me.
Charlotte -love
Annabel- bit dated too
Imogen - nooo
Eloise - like this but not sure with Lucy)
Cassie - not with Lucy
Elise - ok, but the one I know is a weird child so would put me off.
Madeline - nope. Loved it before Maddie went missing

Do you like Jane?

Stevearnottsbeard · 03/05/2021 18:09

My top 3 are
Lucy and charlotte
Lucy and imogen
Lucy and ellen

finallychangedmyusername · 03/05/2021 23:26

I love all your list!

Lucy and Elise or Lucy and Ellen are probably my favourite pairings, closely followed by Lucy and Charlotte or Lucy and Madeline.

Thedogscollar · 03/05/2021 23:47

Your list is refreshingly lovely OP.
I absolutely love:
Elise
Cassie
Madeline.
The other names are all lovely but these names stand out for me and I'm a midwife so heard them allWink
Goodluck with the birth.

pinkmagnolias · 03/05/2021 23:50

Ellen - I don't like Ellen and I dislike the nn Ellie - No
Charlotte - nice if pronounced in a certain way only.
Annabel - No. I don't like this.
Imogen - Yes. Really nice.
Eloise - Yes. Really nice.
Cassie - Yes but sounds like a pet's name more than a person's name.
Elise - Yes. its lovely.
Madeline - Yes also lovely.

My favourite is probably Madeline nn Maddy.

EvilOnion · 03/05/2021 23:51

Cassie and Elise were both on our list for DC1, still love these :)

Ellen, lovely, quite sensible, sweet name Charlotte, like this too, Royal connection though, could be either a positive or a negative? Annabel, seems a bit fussy Imogen, lovely Eloise, nice, she might have to spell to people though Cassie, seems like it should be a shortening, perhaps Catherine known as Cassie? Elise, lovely Madeline, gorgeous name but I too think of Madeline McCann
Tambourina · 04/05/2021 00:15

Ellen - no, it's like Helen with a dropped aitch
Charlotte - beautiful
Annabel - gorgeous
Imogen - love this name
Eloise - nice
Cassie - no, it's a diminutive
Elise - beautiful
Madeline - lovely

DramaAlpaca · 04/05/2021 01:07

All lovely apart from Ellen, which is seriously frumpy.

You can't go wrong with any of the others.

JustanotherTuesday · 04/05/2021 04:00

Eloise is lovely, it's a pretty name and would suit all ages.

partyatthepalace · 04/05/2021 20:35

Cassie is my favourite if short for Cassia/Cassandra
Otherwise Madeline is lovely
Annabel is nice but bit fussy, prefer Anna
Imogen nice but also bit fussy
Eloise / Ellen I like but so many El names, Elise I don’t like but ditto
Charlotte I love but way overused
