Eloise, Margot, Violet or something else?

Hope you all can help.....
I have a son called Noah. Considering Jacob for a boy (with Tommy or Dawson for middle name), but really stuck for girls name.
I recently heard Eloise, which I thought was beautiful.
Then recently I've been having to watch Despicable Me alot and really like the name Margot, my son also likes it.
Finally, there is Violet. I'm a huge titanic fan and this is inspired by Violet Jessop who I am very fond of.
Which of these would you pick? And why? Or could you suggest something completely different.

Thank you :-)

Eloise - because it’s beautiful.

FluffMagnet · 24/04/2021 21:21

Eloise, absolutely.

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 24/04/2021 21:23

I like Eloise, and also Margot. I'm not keen on Violet - I'm afraid for me it conjures up Violet Elizabeth Bott from the Just William stories...

Hoolihan · 24/04/2021 21:34

My niece is Margot and I love the name, so cute. Love Eloise too, and Elise. Less keen on Violet as it reminds me of Violet Beauregard!

ellenpartridge · 24/04/2021 21:40

Eloise though I predict it's going to become a lot more popular

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 25/04/2021 02:44

Eloise of the three - pretty sounding, French style. Margot is too trendy for me (part of the vintage name craze), someone also pointed out the Maggot thing and now I can't unsee it. Same with Violet - retro/vintage trendy and the word Violent. Prefer Viola and Margaret instead.

This is just my first thought on seeing the names written down though - Violet and Margot are certainly popular enough that I wouldn't think that about their names once I'd actually met them iukwim.

Peachbubble · 25/04/2021 06:55

In order I like Violet, then Margot with Eloise way down the list I'm afraid.

MercyBodle · 25/04/2021 07:17

I love Violet, my easy pick from those 3. I also like Violet best with Noah. Margot and Eloise are fine though.

Cindy87 · 25/04/2021 07:19

Margot all the way - if my son had been a girl he would have been Margot.

DeadButDelicious · 25/04/2021 07:20

Elouise. Beautiful name.

LarkDescending · 25/04/2021 07:37

Eloise - gorgeous.

TatianaBis · 25/04/2021 09:51

Violet or Margot. Never liked Eloise.

Ellmau · 25/04/2021 13:19

Eloise is lovely.

namestheyareachanging · 25/04/2021 14:48

Eloise is a beautiful name.

ImTheWolfToday · 25/04/2021 14:51

Margot for me. Not a fan of Eloise

daisypond · 25/04/2021 15:01

Margot, the Eloise. Not keen on Violet. Not sure any really go alongside Noah, though. But they’re fine.

sandybeachblueocean · 25/04/2021 15:18

@daisypond I read on here so often people say sibling names don't need to 'go' together. So I'm not sure if this is really an issue?

I don't think they do. They're individuals who will live apart longer than they will live together.

I like Margot and Eloise. Violet just makes me think of the word violent.

Other suggestions:
Magda
Elodie
Magdalena
Elise
Viola nn Vi
Elisa
Veronique
Eunice
Elsie
Celeste

They’re wrong though.

I put it in the same box as British women thinking their clothes don’t need to co-ordinate.

DramaAlpaca · 25/04/2021 15:42

Of the three, Eloise.

WTF are you on about? Totally un-called for comment.

CatarinaJ · 25/04/2021 15:52

Tatiana's probably got kids called Simone and Simeon and matching handbag and stilettos.

Damn right. Olivier and Olivia with white stilettos.
OneKeyAtATime · 25/04/2021 16:18

Violet for me!
