I prefer Elizabeth Rose, but it's your baby, your call.

Elizabeth Rose - Elizabeth is such a strong, timeless name with lots of lovely nickname potential.

Cressie2 · 24/04/2021 21:01

Rose Elizabeth. Rose is such a beautiful first name.

Pommes · 24/04/2021 21:01

Elizabeth I prefer. Beautifully classic but underused name. Lots of nice nicknames too. Eliza, Beth, Libby, Betty/Bet.

Hightideattheseaside · 24/04/2021 21:16

I like Rose Elizabeth. My DDs middle name is Rose and every other little girl we meet has the middle name Rose! Maybe something to consider if that sort of thing bothers you. I would have had Rose as a first name but my DH wasn’t keen sadly.

My daughter is Elizabeth Rosemary ❤

I prefer the first name Rose, but Elizabeth Rose flows better than Rose Elizabeth.

FizzyApricot · 24/04/2021 21:39

Elizabeth Rose. But there are so many Roses out there I'd only use it if family name or heart absolutely set on it.

Elizabeth rose deffo

partyatthepalace · 24/04/2021 21:54

They are both lovely. Middle names don’t really matter, so I’d pick what you like best, rather than worrry about the flow - either works anyhow.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 25/04/2021 02:51

Both gorgeous, both classic names (so can't go wrong with either).

Elizabeth is a touch more timeless of the two and has a gazillion nn options so gives her a lot of flexibility when older, so would possibly be my pick.

BUT there are likely a lot more Elizabeth Rose's out there (as Rose is the most popular middle name) so if that would bother you then chose Rose Elizabeth.

Elizabeth Rose

Tavannach · 25/04/2021 03:34

It depends which goes better with your surname I think. They’re both lovely names .

MercyBodle · 25/04/2021 07:19

Both are lovely. Really it's about which one you like best as a first name though, as the middle name will scarcely be known. Which out of Rose and Elizabeth sounds best with the surname?

Pinkandwhiteblossom · 25/04/2021 07:20

Elizabeth Rose

Do you like Liz or Rosie?
I know an Elizabeth who everyone calls Liz (or Lizzy) and a Rose who everyone calls Rosie.

Silverfly · 25/04/2021 07:44

Elizabeth Rose, unless you dislike the possible nicknames for Elizabeth. My favourites are Libby and Beth.

toastofthetown · 25/04/2021 10:13

I prefer Rose Elizabeth, because Rose (along with Grace and May) is ubiquitous as a middle name. But it depends which you would prefer to say every day.
