Cod?! Booby?! Cleat?!

There are some great names on this water/sea inspired list but please tell me no one is calling their child cod, booby, cleat, bowline or wet. ‘A unique name for the rest of their life’ - you think?!

Sonar?! Pebbles? Nah this is a wind up website surely. How common are these names?

I could imagine an American boy called Bowline...

Ha! They’re all Balonz in this case! I just can’t tell whether the website is being serious or not?!

It lists Aberdeen as 'mouth of the river' missing out the name of the river.
It has Glan as 'of the shore' but it just means 'shore'

I could just about imagine someone called Aberdeen. Sarah Palin’s daughter is called Bristol isn’t she?

I would not go for Glan. No good nicknames can come from that.

I think Aber means river.

A unique name until they reach the age of majority, I think you will find.

@Ellmau, Aber means Mouth of a river. A place called Abersomething is usually a seaside town on the River Something.
