Your baby will be an adult most of his or her life.

Yes, do remember this ^

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 16/04/2021 21:04

Some of those would make lovely nn's but I'd give them a more "grown up" sounding name for the birth certificate personally eg. Susanna for Sunny, Bridget for Birdie, Theodora for Teddy, Asa for Ace, Wilfred for Wolfie, Edward for Woody.

You might also like:
Hattie (Harriet)
Posy/Effie (Josephine)
Gigi (Georgia0
Kitty (Catherine/Christina)
Bear (Edward/Theodore)
Fox (Felix?)

Nooo I like the names as they are. It's not the 1960s anymore, names are changing and I want my child to have something unique and fun x

Point being, you aren't the one having to 'wear' the name for the next 90 years. Very different from looking for a reaction from people by giving your baby some sort of hip name.

It's a shame that a girl gets a frilly, cutesy name and a boy gets a strong, adventurous name. Birdie/bunny v Ace/Wolf.
