I worked with an Iliriana (Lira) and a Deshira. Both work quite well for speakers of a number of languages and are quite pretty.

Most people on Mumsnet don't have much knowledge of names used outside the UK. Admittedly, I don't know anything about Albanian names, but when people ask for French/German/Scandinavian names people often suggest names that are very dated in the original countries, because they aren't from there, and so are judging the names entirely in a UK context. If you or your partner are Albanian then instead of asking Mumsnet which Albanian names they suggest, asking for opinions on a list of names that you like might be more useful. Are there any names you are thinking of at the moment?

I know a lot of Albanians (am in the south of Italy) and a fair few would work in English, though I'm not sure I'd want to use any of them.
