Ines is quite exotic in the UK but a nice name so would be my choice of the two. Indie sounds quite celeb trendy which means it might eventually become downmarket (although I like the more classic India).

The only thing that put DH off is that we are in Scotland and a few people we know have used Innis for boys, although I like unisex leaning names he wasn’t keen.

Ines - classier and more exotic, sophisticated. Indie is an 'of the moment' name that will date rapidly.

Inès. With the accent :) It is a timeless name whereas "Indie" is too trendy and it may not suit her as an adult if she doesn't turn out to have a hippy trendy alternative sort of personality. Fine for an arty type, a bit weird for a chartered accountant.

If you'd watched married at first sight Australia it would put you off the name Ines. The Ines in that was a psychopath. So Indie for me!
