Although overused, we are thinking of naming baby Olivia Marie. Our other choice was Luna Jade. Any input on which one? Please no rude comments. X

Personally prefer Olivia Marie x

emmie841 · 07/04/2021 18:52

Olivia Marie is very pretty 😍

AnyaMoondial · 07/04/2021 18:56

I think Olivia is a great name, I can completely understand why it’s popular.

GertrudeTheGreat · 07/04/2021 19:08

Luna Marie?

I prefer Luna to Olivia, but really don't like Jade. Also think by adding it to Luna it pushes a borderline hippy name into ott territory.

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 07/04/2021 19:09

I love Luna it’s fabulous!

EileenGC · 07/04/2021 19:13

They’re both lovely!

I prefer Olivia Marie, but because I LOVE Marie as a middle name and I’m not a big fan of Jade. You can’t go wrong with either.

KirstenBlest · 07/04/2021 19:14

I don't like Luna or Jade and definitely not together.

Olivia Marie is better, but as Olivia is so popular, why not call her Marie Olivia?

Marie is more unusual and is pretty. I also like Mary and Maria.

Csx99 · 07/04/2021 19:16

I absolutely love the name Olivia but that is my little sisters name so I am biased Smile

Chelyanne · 07/04/2021 19:20

We have an Olivia so of course I think that is a nice name. Marie is nicer than Jade.
Luna, my 1st thought would be a pet but I do think it's a nice name and more unusual than Olivia. There are lots of Olivia's at our kids school.

Spied · 07/04/2021 19:25

Luna Jade is my favourite.
Olivia Jade is nice.

Dislike Marie.

emmathedilemma · 07/04/2021 19:57

Olivia Marie, no competition for me!

sarah13xx · 07/04/2021 19:58

Both are nice, I think Olivia is one of the nicest names there is. I know Olivia always ranks high in the popularity list but I saw an article about Luna being the number one name that’s rising. I think I’d go Olivia

DramaAlpaca · 07/04/2021 20:02

Olivia for me, but I'd have Jade as the middle name.

Hopefulmama123 · 07/04/2021 20:23

LOVE the name Olivia!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 07/04/2021 20:24

I would go Marie Olivia :) but Olivia Marie is really pretty too! X

MySocalledLoaf · 07/04/2021 20:26

Marie would be a lovely and rare first name.

SkittlesRainbow · 07/04/2021 20:27

I don't know if you like John Mayer but two of my favourite songs by him are called 'Something Bout Olivia' and 'Dear Marie'. They are beautiful names, I really like them and don't think it sounds overused.

Ikeameatballs · 07/04/2021 20:28

Olivia Marie

NannyR · 07/04/2021 20:32

Definitely Olivia, it's a beautiful name and popular for good reason, although for all it's supposed popularity, I know a fair few children and only one Olivia under the age of 12.

KoalaOok · 07/04/2021 20:37

I prefer Olivia Marie, it's a beautiful combination.
I am not a fan of Luna.

KoalaOok · 07/04/2021 20:37

Same here, I know two Lunas though. Where are all these Olivias?!
riromay · 07/04/2021 21:05

Both very beautiful names. I prefer Olivia just because I know many pets called Luna. But It's a great name for humans too .

Good luck choosing

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 07/04/2021 21:58

Olivia Marie is much more classic and timeless sounding, so would be my choice. Yes, Olivia is unfortunately very popular currently, but it's an elegant Shakespearean name which suits all ages.

Luna is cute but very much "of it's time"/trendy imo - hence its use in sci-fi/fantasy and for a fair few pets.

PumpingPamela · 07/04/2021 22:08

0.65% of babies were named Olivia last year, that's about 1 in 150.. it might be the top rated name but it's not actually that common.

In other words - if you like it, use it.

KirstenBlest · 07/04/2021 22:09

"0.65% of babies were named Olivia last year, that's about 1 in 150.. it might be the top rated name but it's not actually that common."

Add all the Olivias born every year for two decades and it's a lot of them.
