Middle name help please

Hiya,

I have posted on here before regarding my unfortunately baby name situation....

Im due a DD in July and we love the name Florence. We already have a DS (Harrison) who we named after dads side and I have always been adamant we would give my DD my middle name which is Elizabeth (after my nan who passed away young)

Here is the dilemma....

Florence Elizabeth King sounds lovely but check out those initials 🙈 F.E.K or even worse F.E King

I'm not willing to budge on the middle name and OH just loves Florence.

The only solution is to add another middle name? I love Annabel and would be also incorporating the two familys into the name. But is it too long??

OR
Florence Annabel Elizabeth King

Open to other middle name suggestions but nothing too modern/common.

Florence Annabelle Elizabeth is nice. Im getting tongue tied saying Florence Elizabeth Annabelle. It's too L and B heavy.

I think Florence Elizabeth Annabel King flows better and also the more meaningful middle name comes first.

Tbh middle names are often not used at all. Would F. King bother you?

I wouldn't notice if someone had the initials F. E. K. I've never given my friends' initials any thought. I doubt I'd think much about F. E. King either. I would think negatively if you wanted Ursula as the middle name!

PS I have my DC two long middle names after debating if it was too long. I love her names and am glad I didn't use my second choice which was shorter but more boring.

Not sure that FEAK or FAEK is that much better tbh.

Initials really don't matter. It will not enter most people's minds and if it does it will be a fleeting thought. Don't worry! The name is lovely.

I think you might be better making Florence a middle name. Or if not married use your last name.

You definitely need to add in your surname so Florence Smith-King or whatever,

I think you're overthinking the initials. There's nothing wrong with Florence Elizabeth Annabel King. Only the extremely childish would give someone a hard time over F. King, and initials don't tend to be used like that at primary school, which is the only place I'd expect to see people immature enough to make an issue of it.

I think you need a middle name with a consonant to break up the initials.

It needs to be a random consonant that doesn’t make a word or sound like a word so avoid L or R, and it should be straight after the F as FE_ King has the potential to look or sound dodgy.

I agree the solution is def to just add another middle babe. Don't remove Florence it's lovely

Thanks for everyones responses. I never really considered the F.king issue 🙈🙈

I now have a lot to think about 🤣 glad it's been pointed out. I'm not sure how much of an issue that could be? 😖
