Julia. Every child or adult I've ever met called Joy had been anything but Joyful, it's a big name to live up to.

PattyPan · 06/04/2021 10:37

I absolutely love Julia!

Synchrony · 06/04/2021 10:38

Julia, I love it.

Joya was on our list

campion · 06/04/2021 11:16

Julia

I know a Joy who is anything but!
Julia's a much nicer name

Crunchymum · 06/04/2021 11:18

I (personally) prefer Juliet but Joy and Julia are both good names.

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 06/04/2021 11:19

Lovely names.
I would probably prefer Julia.
I also like Juliet.

Joy.

Lampzade · 06/04/2021 11:22

I love the name Joy. It’s just a difficult name to live up to

VienneseWhirligig · 06/04/2021 11:23

Julia is safer. If you get a shy and introverted or melancholy Joy, the amount of people who will take the piss out of her name - my godmother is Joy and has had to develop a thick skin because of it.

KoalaOok · 06/04/2021 11:27

Julia

Or Joyce?

Lemonlemon88 · 06/04/2021 11:28

Julia definitely

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 06/04/2021 11:31

Julia. I'm a Julia and really like it - feels quite classic without being super popular (I've only met a couple of others but they've been different ages to me). I wouldn't want to be a Joy - less keen on the sound and it feels like something I'd have to live up to.

Kottbullar · 06/04/2021 11:56

Julia Joy

TatianaBis · 06/04/2021 11:57

Prefer Giulia.

Joy - no.

EmbarrassingMama · 06/04/2021 12:05

Julia definitely! Lovely name.

grandmasterstitch · 06/04/2021 12:05

Julia

My step mum is Joy and just no. Joy for a middle name would be fine. Although maybe not Julia Joy

sarah13xx · 06/04/2021 12:24

Joy Joy Joy every time! Love that name

emmathedilemma · 06/04/2021 12:28

Julia, option to be Jules when older.
I also have only known one Joy who was anything but a Joy!

Violetlavenders · 06/04/2021 15:53

Love both!

Sexnotgender · 06/04/2021 16:13

@Violetlavenders

Love both!
Me too 🙄😂😫

I think I’m leaning towards Julia.
