My son is Frank after our great great grandad, great grandad and grandad. Hence old family name.

Sister is adamant on Frankie for her boy. Would you mind? It does not bother me but people have commented saying it is too similar

I know a little girl named Ellie, who has a same-age stepsister named Ellie. Cousins is neither here nor there.

It's a family name, so she has exactly the same right to use it as you do.

It doesn't bother you and that's the name she wants so there should be no issue. What other people are saying to you doesn't matter as much as what the two of you think.

Same as everyone else. It’s not similar... it’s the same name.. but if it doesn’t bother you it’s not an issue. I’m sure they won’t be the first cousins in the world to have the same name.
