Definitely Tyler

Sexnotgender · 05/04/2021 11:11

I’d spell it Tyler. I’ve never seen it spelled Tylar.

My autocorrect doesn’t recognise it either.

MissTT85 · 05/04/2021 11:11

I thought so too, Thank you

I've seen it spelt Tyler and Tylor but never Tylar!

GoddessKali · 05/04/2021 11:12

Tyler

Gingernaut · 05/04/2021 11:13

Yup. SIL is weird. It's Tyler.

Tylar is a name, but used mainly in America for girls.

MissTT85 · 05/04/2021 11:13

Me neither she is adamant I am wrong.

Tyler, it’s the older version of the name.

“ The name Tyler is a boy's name of English origin meaning "maker of tiles".”

“ Tylar as a boy's name is related to the Old English name Tyler. The meaning of Tylar is "a worker in roof tiles".”

SpiceRat · 05/04/2021 11:13

I’ve only ever seen Tyler.
Tylar autocorrects to Tyler in my phone too.

AlCalavicci · 05/04/2021 11:14

Tyler , I have never seen it spelt with a A

dobidobidooo · 05/04/2021 11:17

It's Tyler...it's originally a surname and it was mine before marriage.

shipsandgiggles · 05/04/2021 11:18

MissTT85 · 05/04/2021 11:21

'A worker in roof tiles', that made me chuckled.

DramaAlpaca · 05/04/2021 13:25

Of course it's Tyler. Any other way looks like you can't spell.

GertrudeTheGreat · 05/04/2021 14:10

It is definitely Tyler!

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 05/04/2021 14:16

Agreed on Tyler - it's an occupation surname, which I've never seen spelt any other way personally.

daisypond · 05/04/2021 14:33

It’s Tyler. I’ve never seen it spelled another way.

Potpourriandpennysweets · 05/04/2021 14:35

I will never be able to hear that name the same again now. It will be "roofer, Tyler, brickie, sparkle, chippie " etc.

SixDegrees · 05/04/2021 14:35

I’ve only ever seen it spelt as Tyler.

RuthW · 05/04/2021 16:14

PlainJane1000 · 05/04/2021 16:55

My friends son is Tyler.

Rtmhwales · 05/04/2021 16:58

@Gingernaut

Yup. SIL is weird. It's Tyler.

Tylar is a name, but used mainly in America for girls.

As an American, I've never met a girl called Tylar. I've met probably three called Tyler but that's a different story.

For the OP - it's Tyler. End of.
