Frank or Frankie

Which do you prefer?
Is Frank too old for a baby? and Frankie too feminine or cute for an adult?

We considered Frankie for a girl and personally see it more as a girls name. Frank is ok but makes me think of an old man.

Of the two - Frank (although I much prefer Francis or even Franklin). Frankie is a bit cutesy, plus he may not appreciate it at that self-conscious teenage stage if there are a lot of girl Frankie's around.
