They’re both lovely - Daphne is very sweet & pretty and Delphine a little more sophisticated. Don’t be put off by one character in a kids TV show.

I love both. I don’t think you can go wrong with one or the other. I had two lovely colleagues called Daphne and Delphine, one British and the other American when I worked in an international school.

Both are lovely, but I agree with Divebar that Delphine is more sophisticated. Daphne is slightly more gentle little old lady, and Delphine is more elegant young beauty. But you can’t go wrong with either, I don’t think.

There’s a minor character called Delphine in American Horror Story.

I like Daphne as well, although not keen on the spelling. But Daffny would be even odder.

As already mentioned Delphine makes me think of Delphine Donkey from Peppa Pig. I think I prefer it to Daphne though.

Susie Verill has just called their baby Daphne.
