Should you have a capital in the middle? 🤔

I think Ce Ce has the best intended effect as everyone will know how to pronounce it. Unfortunately it’s not as “pretty” as the others, but you will run into issues by using Cece or CeCe

MerryChristmasToYou · 30/03/2021 15:01

I wouldn't know how to say it.
Cess?
Cessy?
Cee Cee.

Bibi is easier.

ThePricklySheep · 30/03/2021 15:05

You can’t have Cece as it will cause pronounciation issues. You can’t have CeCe as it will be a administrative nightmare.
I think you need one of

Ceci
Ce Ce
Or Ce-Ce

Kokeshi123 · 30/03/2021 16:02

Cece looks like it should be pronounced "cease" and CeCe is just awful, like a burlesque performer's name or something.

Ceci if you really must, but why not call her one of the three lovely names that this is a NN for? Cecilia, Cecile, Cecily?

Violetlavenders · 30/03/2021 18:00

Most English speakers will pronounce Cece as Ceecee I would have thought?

It gets problematic in other languages like German for example where it's Tseh tseh Grin

TatianaBis · 31/03/2021 19:44

Ceci (chickpeas) in Italian is pronounced Che chi.

FeelLike · 31/03/2021 19:52

Do you like blue or green?

MN ‘Neither, they are silly colours pick a real one like red. Green looks absolutely horrendous like vomit. Also are you sure it’s not bleu? In French it’s pronounced bleu’.

It’s very clearly CeeCee.
OP, in response to your very simple question, I prefer no capital.

JemimaTiggywinkle · 31/03/2021 20:00

I would read Cece as “cease”... so CeCe I suppose.

HeadlessGummyBears · 31/03/2021 20:37

I think Cece is lovely but only if it’s short for Cecelia or Celia because it just gives more options when she’s older. Personally prefer Cecelia as it’s very pretty.

I think Jim and Pam’s daughter in The Office (US version) was called Cece but I just googled it and it was actually short for Cecelia.
