If I like Penelope...

What else would I like?

I really wanted a slightly different name but Penelope seems quite common now. I love Penny too.

I quite like boho style names. Nothing too crazy but I really don't want an 'Emma' or 'Molly'

Any ideas would be great thank you!

Romilly?

Persephone? (You could squeeze a Penny nn out of that I think).

Briony? (I love this name).

Depends a bit what you like about Penelope. Ariadne? Persephone? Phoebe?

Or maybe other "classic slightly posh English" like Harriet, Matilda, Charlotte, Victoria.

Persephone - not as rare as it was - or Petronella - you could get Penny out of either of those.

Felicity is getting quite popular. Or Cecily, Cassia, Adela, Fernanda, Circe, Meredith, Lois, Stella/Estella, Annabeth...

Loved Daphne! Was too ‘out there’ 12 years ago so she’s Pearl instead Smile

Came on to say Romilly, beaten to it.
Persephone?

Depends.

Do you see Penelope as being a classical name, as in the wife of Odysseus?

In which case Calista, Athena, Clytemnestra, Hera, Calypso, or Artemis?

Or do you see it as more of a “1970s accomplished beauty” name?

In which case Felicity, Caroline, Jemima, Francesca, Jennifer, Minerva or Imogen?

The trouble is associations are so personal.
