Lior is too close to Liar. I like Rosanna though.

  1. I like Rosanna and Lior unusual. Is it a family name?
RuthW · 24/03/2021 12:17

10 if middle name means something to you

PandaFluff · 24/03/2021 12:34

I think Lior is a male name traditionally, that wouldn't bother me but might be worth checking if it bothers you.

8 out of 10, 10/10 if middle name as meaning to you as I always think that's lovely.

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 24/03/2021 12:56

I like Rosanna. Lior is ... Odd. Not bad. But not lovely. I'm confused by it.

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 24/03/2021 12:57

5/10

Elouera · 24/03/2021 12:59

Rosanna- 7

Lior- 0. Nicknames such as Liar or Lion or Dior come to mind. How do you pronouce it? Does it name meaning?

NameChangedForThisFeb21 · 24/03/2021 13:02

Lior is a traditional unisex Jewish name pps.

PandaFluff · 24/03/2021 13:04

Thanks @NameChangedForThisFeb21 I knew it was Jewish but for some reason thought male.

ifigoup · 24/03/2021 13:04

Ooh, 10! I love it! Very strong, and not at all flowery. It also flows well as a combination (people on MN are obsessed by the fact that people never use middle names so it doesn’t matter, but I disagree!)

NameChangedForThisFeb21 · 24/03/2021 13:12

@PandaFluff

Thanks *@NameChangedForThisFeb21* I knew it was Jewish but for some reason thought male.
The majority of high profile Liors are men so I’m not surprised you thought that. I’ve never met a female Lior. I suppose it’s like James or Blake or Evelyn but less commonly unisex than Robin, Ashley etc.
partyatthepalace · 24/03/2021 13:22

Rosanna is lovely

Lior - well it might cause a bit of confusion but it's a middle name so not a huge issue, it's unisex but Liora is also used for girls, which if you like it would be more straightforward.

BiBabbles · 24/03/2021 13:54

Lior is usually pronounced lee-or.

Not yet met a female Lior so I guess my first thought is that it's an honouring name if I gave it much thought at all.

I think Rosanna Lior sounds nice, 7ish/10.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 24/03/2021 22:36

Rosanna is nice enough - pretty but not that popular (7) . Lior isn't my taste sorry, but middle names don't really matter and I guess such an unusual name probably has special meaning to you?

WonkyCactus · 24/03/2021 22:38

10/10, it's a great name.

TatianaBis · 25/03/2021 14:30

I like Lior but doesn't go that well with Rosanna.
