I think if your surname is single syllable you can get away with either. If your surname is more than one syllable then Cordelia Rose links better. .

Rose is such a lovely name but all too often it just gets relegated to a middle name.

I think Rose Cordelia, but only because I prefer Rose. It's fresh and unusual as a first name, as it's so often relegated to the filler middle spot.

Cordelia is a really beautiful name. Rose is ok but seems very popular as a middle and Rosie which is similar is super popular at the moment.

Love the name Cordelia. I’d chose that above Rose, though it’s a lovely name too. Nobody ever knows middle names, so they are largely irrelevant. So if you love Cordelia I’d use it as the first name.

Cordelia is a great name. Are there any family names which have significance and which you could use as a middle name? Rose is nice, but it becomes a bit 'meh' by being so commonly used as a middle name (unless Rose is a name traditionally used in your family, in which case that's very different).
