How are you pronouncing it?

So lah na

So lay na

?

So lah na is a bit "so long" as in good bye for me but is the more natural pronunciation.

Actually not keep on either pronunciation sorry.

sounds like a product.

alexdgr8 · 22/03/2021 01:48

maybe sun cream.

I watch a YouTube Account about a tiger compound, my favourite tiger is Solano, he gets Yano for short!

Are you Spanish? Solana not well known here so might be pronounced wrong. I don't dislike it but I prefer Lana (classic Hollywood glam) or Alana (pretty Celtic vibes) instead - both are better known but not too popular.

The hotel in the tv programme Benidorm!

Violetlavenders · 22/03/2021 07:04

I'd say So lah na and I like it!

StripedLeopard · 22/03/2021 07:09

I've never heard of this name, but I do like it

Makes me think of solanaceae, the plant family including potatoes and nightshade.

DavidsSchitt · 22/03/2021 09:08

Benidorm

NameChangedForThisFeb21 · 22/03/2021 09:11

It’s the name of a super cheap orange juice concentrate that you get in budget hotels and nursing homes from the caterers.

Mamamamasaurus · 22/03/2021 09:30

Suncream or the hotel in 'Benidorm'

partyatthepalace · 22/03/2021 10:09

It’s OK. The Sol sound at the front has associations with sun cream / Costa del sol and isn’t that pretty.

I think Serena, Estella, Cassia, Adela, Fernanda are all nicer names with a similar feel
