Hello all!

I just curious to see if anyone knows of any variation of the name Audrey for a girl. It would potentially be used as a middle name

Many thanks!

I know an Audra and her grandmother was Audrea - it is a family name

Whatsyourflava · 17/03/2021 15:29

Aubrey

I love Audrey for a middle name - very retro/vintage cool, reminds me of classic Hollywood (Hepburn) and the cool character on cult Twin Peaks.

There are similar names in Audra, Aubrey and Aude (although these last two have different origins to Audrey), but I'd stick with Audrey!

Changeythenamey · 17/03/2021 20:07

Audrey is lovely on its own. Audrea, Drea, Dre, Audra are nice alternatives but I think Audrey is due a massive resurgence.

Audriana

My dd mn is Audrey as its a family name, its really grown on me! Love Audriana, also Audrina

SleepingStandingUp · 18/03/2021 00:44

Audra and Audriana are pretty but if it's a middle name is be tempted to stick with Audrey.

If you liked the sound for a first I'd say Aubrey

Andrea?

Wow thanks for all the suggestions and love for the name.

We are a very vintage couple (you should see our house 🤣) so our children will always end up with an old fashioned name. I was just concerned that Audrey was a bit too far. I really like the suggestion of Audra

Audrey is a great name. Audra is too, but I prefer Audrey. Definitely not Aubrey, which is a boy’s name.

ILoveStickers · 18/03/2021 08:59

I know a couple of little kids called Audrey, so it's definitely back in. I'm not into the vintage names thing, but first time I heard it, I though THAT'S AWESOME.

Audra is also nice, though.

PlantPotting · 18/03/2021 09:27

Audrey is no way 'a bit too far'. I don't really like "out there names". I would not put it in that category at all. It's on its way back for sure. I love it. Use it!

If not what about Margaret

NoMoreZigAndSharko · 18/03/2021 14:28

Audrey is great! Not too vintage at all imo.

bridgetreilly · 18/03/2021 16:02

I think Audrey is much nicer than Audra, tbh. Aubrey is awful for a girl

partyatthepalace · 19/03/2021 15:04

I think Audrey is much nicer than Audra too - and it's starting to become fashionable, along with other early/mid century names - so if you like it go for it.

VenusClapTrap · 20/03/2021 07:22

I have an Audrey. She loves her name - it isn’t too long, not fussy or twee, and she’s the only one in her school. When they hear her name, people often ask ‘Oh, after Audrey Hepburn?’ which is an association she really likes.

Firebird83 · 22/03/2021 09:14

Audra or Audrina

PolarnOPirate · 22/03/2021 12:46

I know a baby Audrey! I think it's cool, cute, grown up and pretty all in one :)

PattyPan · 22/03/2021 20:23

I don't think Audrey is too old-fashioned at all - I know of babies called Edith and Desmond and Audrey is much more contemporary-feeling due to the timelessness of Audrey Hepburn. Audrina is nice too but I don't really like Audra, it sounds too much like order.
