Harmony. Harmonica is not a name.

Chunkymenrock · 15/03/2021 12:29

Harmony. Harmonica is plain weird as a child's name!

Worknoplay · 15/03/2021 12:30

Harmonica is no. Sorry. I am not keen on either but Harmony is better.

If you like those, Melody is quite popular now too and so is Elody or Elodie, which are lovely names. Better than Harmony I think.

YoniAndGuy · 15/03/2021 12:30

Harmoniflox?

Mysterian · 15/03/2021 12:30

Harmony. You blow into the other one.

lunar1 · 15/03/2021 12:30

Don't call your child Harmonica.

ForensicFlossy · 15/03/2021 12:30

Please don't call your child Harmonica.

NannyR · 15/03/2021 12:30

Harmony - harmonica is like calling your child trumpet or guitar.

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 15/03/2021 12:31

How about the following?

Harp
Harper
Harpy

HasaDigaEebowai · 15/03/2021 12:31

Harmonica is ridiculous, sorry. It just isn't a child's name. If you want Monica choose Monica

ramidad123 · 15/03/2021 12:32

I do prefer Harmony, thanks !

Harmonica? Setting her up for a lifetime of jokes about 'blowing'.

Whetstone · 15/03/2021 12:32

Harmony = hairspray (showing my age there)
Harmonica = really? NN 'Mouth Organ'?

Monicuddle · 15/03/2021 12:33

How about Harmonisation or Harmonium? Maybe Harpsichord? Harmful Bacteria? Don’t limit yourself now.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 15/03/2021 12:33

You can't possibly saddle her with Harmonica and the connotations that would bring.

forgetthehousework · 15/03/2021 12:33

Harmonica, a sister to Mouthorgan, Recorder and Trombone!

BaronessBomburst · 15/03/2021 12:33

OP, I'm presuming that you don't realise that a harmonica is a musical instrument.
Harmony is far more appropriate as a child's name.

ApolloandDaphne · 15/03/2021 12:34

Please not harmonica. It is a musical instrument not a name.

UnderHisAye · 15/03/2021 12:35

Oh my goodness, I'm picturing you with a toddler lying face down in Tesco screaming until she's red in the face and you going 'Now Harmony, come on'

Please don't name your child either of these 'names'.

Hailtomyteeth · 15/03/2021 12:35

Harpy???? Ha!

No, don't call your child Harmonica, or Squeeze Box, or any such thing. Not Recorder. Not Fiddle.

Harmony is or was hair product.

Call her Heart's Ease, like pansies. That's beautiful. Imagine saying 'Hello, Heart's Ease' every time you see her. Heart for short, perhaps. Pansy as a nickname. Oh no, I'm turning into a MNer.

HermioneWeasley · 15/03/2021 12:35

@Monicuddle that made me roar with laughter

roseylemonade · 15/03/2021 12:38

Harmony sounds like a strippers name Grin

Harmonica reminds me of friends 'our little Harmonica' about Monica said by her dad

DeRigueurMortis · 15/03/2021 12:40

Given one is a name and the other a mouth organ I think the choice between the two should be fairly obvious...

Unless you already have a Drum, Guitar, Piano and Singer amongst your brood and just want to complete the band....

IdblowJonSnow · 15/03/2021 12:40

Neither.

Thedogshow · 15/03/2021 12:41

HarMoney? Harmonica-Harmony? Harpic? Harpenden? Lots of other great options to consider.
Or maybe just call her Emily?
