Not really.

Katie Emma sounds better.

DramaAlpaca · 08/03/2021 18:54

Kate Emily sounds better. You could still call her Katie.

LittleRa · 08/03/2021 18:58

It flows fine, and even if it didn’t, how often will you be saying the full name like that? Do you have a middle name and if so, how often do you ever say your first name and middle name together? Both are nice names.

Yennefer19 · 08/03/2021 19:09

No I don’t think they flow nicely, but as pp said once the birth announcement is done you’d never really say them together again.

They are both lovely names so if you like the name go for it.

LadyCatStark · 08/03/2021 19:13

No, I’d go with Emily Kate.

H23squirrels · 08/03/2021 19:47

I like Emily but I have a niece called Emma!

Catherine Emily, known as Katie. Job done.

Sportsnight · 08/03/2021 19:50

Emily Kate has a better flow, but if you’re not saying them together all the time, then I think it doesn’t matter, really.

partyatthepalace · 08/03/2021 19:52

Yep I think the full version flows better - Katherine Emily - you can use Katie as a nn and that way she has options and can pick a different nn later if she wants.

TalkToTheWind · 08/03/2021 19:57

Katie Alice

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 08/03/2021 20:06

Catherine Emily. Two dactyls. Nicely balanced.

donewithitalltodayandxmas · 08/03/2021 20:08

Yes its fine and others have said how often will you use them togethed

sarah13xx · 08/03/2021 20:15

I’m choosing a boys name just now and want my papa’s middle name to be the middle name which doesn’t flow at all but you literally never say the middle name along with it after the initial announcement of your child’s name 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’d just go with which names you like best. Katie is the name I’ve picked for a girls middle name after my sister but it wouldn’t bother me if it didn’t necessarily ‘flow’

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 08/03/2021 22:58

Katie Emily doesn't flow wonderfully as they both end in the "ee" sound. Katherine Emily (nn Katie) sounds better, but you don't hear the middle name often so it might not matter.

Spring2021 · 08/03/2021 23:11

Emily Kate sounds best but don’t too hung up on middle names they are only used very occasionally (as long as you really like the first name and the childs initials don’t add up to mean something silly or rude).
How about Emily Kate, Alice Kate, Emily Elizabeth, Emily Jane, Emily Eve etc.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/03/2021 01:12

No two Y ending sounds don't flow at all
Katie Emilia.
