Thanks. Raia looks to me like it should be pronounced Ry-a.

I’d spell it Raya because that is how the name is spelt in Israel, and I think in S Asia too. And the pronunciation is obvious.

Reya is probably the clearest spelling to get the pronunciation you want.

Raya looks the nicest and is the most well known spelling of the name - but thanks to the popularity of Maya, you may get a few people pronouncing it as "Ry -ah".

Raeya just looks strange imo.

Reya would take my vote, I think it's a lovely name! I reckon they will spend a decent portion of their life saying, "no, not Freya, REYA" though!

There's a new Disney Princess film coming out this year where the main character is called Raya.
If the film does well might mean more people know that spelling/the pronunciation?

I think they're Reba and Lori. Used to be Dori and Lori, in the idiotic American of giving twins matching names, but Dori changed to Reba.

I had the same thoughts. Maybe Reina/Reyna would be work better?

I only know one and they spell it Raeya it's a beautiful name

It’s a lovely name but looks like this new film is going to be huge, could end up with an “Elsa” situation where everyone thinks you’ve named after the film..
