What are you feelings about FN, LN alliteration, for example Harry Hamilton or Matthew Monroe?

I can just think of so many, it seems odd.

Because there are so many famous people with alliterative names, they do tend to have a cool, memorable vibe. I think it does depend on how many of the sounds in the name are repeated though - too many and they can sound more comical/tongue twisty.

I bet you can think of many more who don't though :o

i'm trying 😆

I can't remember their surnames as easily!

Depends completely on the names, but can too often sound unintentionally comic.

Coco Chanel
Brigitte Bardot
Charlie Chaplin
Doris Day
Lindsay Lohan
Steven Spielberg
Brian Blessed
Lucy Lui
Amy Adams
Parker Posy

Not all those are true alliteration when spoken.

My daughter has an alliterative name and I love it! She's a double M. I am pregnant again and wouldn't do it with a second though, would hate to start a theme!

DD has one, I haven't really thought about it before as it's so rare to say her surname as she is little still.

I like them although some names work better than others.

It’s not just about the start letter but the sounds after it, the syllables and where the stress is. Some work, some don’t.

I think it’s harder with one syllable first names as there sounds are closer (June Johnson vs Josephine Johnson) but there will always be exceptions.
