Anagrams...is this weird?

Due DC2 in a month and we thought we had found the perfect name. However, I’ve realised that with the name we’ve chosen, the first names of our family members would all be near-anagrams of each other. For example (not the real names) -

DF: Dan
DM: Tonya
DD: Nadya
DS: Yonatan

I think perhaps the reason that DC2’s name sounds perfect to us is because it includes the same letters as the rest of the family members, so it feels like it “fits”... but at the same time we very much don’t want it to seem as if the kids are named after ourselves (they’re not!). On the other hand, each person does have a different initial. Not sure how obvious the near-anagramming would be to others? Is it weird? Am I overthinking it?

I wouldn't even notice OP.

Nobody will notice that surely..? It is hard to say for sure without knowing the names, but appreciate you may not want to share the names! But, at a guess, I'd say you're overthinking a bit.

You're overthinking it. I wouldn't notice repeated letters... It took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about, even with the example.

Likely overthinking it! It's a cute link between you all (and may be hard to repeat for a third child!) but it isn't that obvious based on your examples. It tends to be strong sounds people notice when repeated, not letters (with the exception of starting initials).

It’s fine. Sounds like you just like familiar sounds.

Thanks, all! Glad to hear I’m overthinking it Grin
