Looking for a little girl name

Whyyyy are girl names the hardest to choose?! I'm due my first baby, a little girl in May. I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant and still have no name! I seem to like a name for a week or so then go off it. I had a boy name picked out but as soon as I found out she was a girl my mind went blank!
I like earthy, boho, cute names, however, I also like edgy, cool names. I prefer short names over long names too. Double barrelled is nice also.

So far I've thought of -
Cora
Minnie
Pippa
Poppy
Frankie
Daisy
Bella
Violet
Lola

Etc.. but I don't like any of them enough to actually call my kid. I think I have my dogs the best names🤣 Pixie, Lily & Pepper.
If anyone had any suggestions that would be great!

Pepper is a good name for a little dog! Of your list I like Pippa, Frankie, Violet and Cora. The others are bit little girly for me.

How about Sadie, Lois, Lara, Cleo, Rosa, Erin, Ivy, Elsa, Robin, Caitlin, Ffion, Seren, Zoe, Rowan, Laurel, Iris, Bronwen, Bethan, Rosen, Roslyn, Oona, Orla, Kirsten, Kristen, Christa, Linnet, Elowen, Ishbel, Jean, Linos, Elsbeth

I would personally lay off double barrels because people think of them as being downmarket so may not help your daughter

What's the boys name you would have chosen? Perhaps we could give names which complement that?

I wouldn't double - barrel, generally it can either look dated or a bit downmarket in the UK imo.

Of your choices I only really like Cora, sorry. The others all sound either too cutesy/twee for me or very trendy (so will date more).

Nature/earthy vibes - Cassia, Viola, Gaia, Iris, Briar, Rowan, Eden, Lark, Bryony, Wren

Short/sweet/cool - Mina, Nia, Alva, Cleo, Vita, Juno, Xanthe, Zia, Mara, Willa, Zelda, Vida

Edenember · 18/02/2021 12:26

Cora is my favourite from your list by a mile. Many of the others I personally find too cutesy / popular. That said I’ll always have a fondness for Daisy, just like the way it looks and sounds. Pippa and Poppy were both on my list for a long time but came off due to popularity / the Pippa thing in Europe which put me off.
