Tell me the name you like best from the girls names I’ve picked out

We have a boys name picked(Zephyr) & we already have a son called Mason. There’s a few girls names I like but not sure which sounds better:

Arabella rose Chisholm
Arabella poppy Chisholm
Sapphire poppy Chisholm

I originally picked Arabella poppy but now I’m not sure if it sounds right, I would like a floral middle name as my name is Claudia rose & my sister is Erika daisy & I had picked poppy as a middle name as my partner likes the name & my gran used to call me poppet when I was younger.

Arabella Poppy

(Although I prefer Isabella or Annabella personally)

JamieFrasersSassenach · 18/02/2021 07:26

Arabella Rose sounds loveliest to me

Momtot · 18/02/2021 07:26

Arabella Rose is lovely Flowers

DoodleLovin · 18/02/2021 07:35

Arabella Poppy.

I went to school with an Arabella and she was the sweetest girl. And I would name my own daughter Poppy with DP would let me!

IckleBear · 18/02/2021 07:35

Arabella Rose

CLx94 · 18/02/2021 07:36

I really like the sound of arabella rose I just wanted a different flower from mine I feel like my mum started something with the different flower middle names

Arabella Rose.
A one syllable middle name goes best with a four syllable first name.

CLx94 · 18/02/2021 07:42

There’s only 4 girls names I like & I have looked at thousands, Emerald & Evangeline being the other 2, I really like Evangeline poppy but I don’t think anyone would call her by her full name it would be Eva or Evie. I’ve always loved Arabella after hearing the arctic monkeys song called Arabella & it means answered prayer & we’ve been TTC so the name felt right.

Yeah I agree that’s why arabella poppy started sounding a bit off to me although I like Evangeline poppy too & that doesn’t sound too bad. I think it’s the letter ‘b’ in Arabella thats throwing it off.

Arabella rose - fine but rose is a bit overused asva middle name
Arabella poppy - I thought of Poppy-Ara....
Sapphire poppy - Sapphire's a bit naff

IckleBear · 18/02/2021 08:37

Just thought of Arabella Violet?
I think it would need something a bit stronger sounding than Poppy.

CLx94 · 18/02/2021 08:53

I had thought about arabella viola rather than violet as I thought it flowed better with the surname(Chisholm) but I really like poppy now I’m so confused

Arabella viola Chisholm? Does that sound better than the above names?

OP posts:
Borntohula · 18/02/2021 09:13

What about Fleur? I realise it's not a type of flower, exactly...

Bluesername · 18/02/2021 09:19

I like Sapphire. Saffron is also nice.

Arabella Sapphire?

CLx94 · 18/02/2021 09:29

Oh i never thought of that! Is that not too much though? Although I would prefer a flower/plant as a middle name I quite like Arabella viola now

OP posts:
Borntohula · 18/02/2021 09:43

Arabella Delphine sounds nice too but that really might be too much. 'Viola' is really pretty. Smile

CLx94 · 18/02/2021 09:48

I really liked poppy as it means something to me but I think I’m going with Arabella viola it flows much better & it’s a flower

Mumofms · 18/02/2021 09:52

Arabella violet Chisholm is lovely. Arabella and poppy just don't go together to me for some reason. I do think Emerald Poppy is fantastic though.

Arabella Fern
Arabella Hazel
Arabella Willow
Arabella Lily
Arabella Jasmine
Arabella Iris

Camomila · 18/02/2021 09:52

Arabella Poppy is nice.

Other flowers could be
Arabella Tansy
Arabella Lily
Arabella Jasmine
Arabella Tulip

Babybaby2021 · 18/02/2021 10:02

Arabella Rose

CLx94 · 18/02/2021 10:06

Oh I love emerald that was the first name I liked but I thought the ‘d’ at the end with ‘Chisholm’ was too harsh I think it makes the ‘d’ in Emerald disappear if that makes sense ‘Emerald Chisholm’ I don’t hear the ‘d’ I love emerald poppy though. I think Arabella viola Chisholm is my favourite

OP posts:
CLx94 · 18/02/2021 10:07

Think my favourite is Arabella Viola

I think Viola is gorgeous OP - I've always like Viola, such an elegant name (Shakespearean and well used in Europe but not in the UK for some reason).

Edenember · 18/02/2021 12:28

Arabella Rose sounds gorgeous, but I’d go Arabella Poppy to differentiate from your own name. Lovely too.
