Which do you prefer...?

I'm due my 3rd baby in just over 2 weeks. We've kept the sex of this baby a surprise this time round. Girls name we've already decided on, but boys we're struggling with. We've narrowed it down to two but can't decide which one is a nicer name and goes better with our other two children's name (Noah George and Grace Olivia). The two names we've chosen are - Oliver Benjamin or Arthur William. Any thoughts on which you prefer or that you think go better with our children. TIA.

Love the name Oliver. Not so keen on Arthur.

gingercatsarebest · 15/02/2021 13:34

Arthur Benjamin

partyatthepalace · 15/02/2021 13:34

They are both v nice

I think Oliver goes slightly better with your children's names

Gentlerose30 · 15/02/2021 13:37

I like Oliver

BridgertonBunkUp · 15/02/2021 13:38

Arthur

MrsDoctorDear · 15/02/2021 13:40

Noah, Grace and Oliver.

Middle names are never mentioned after the birth announcement so I never take them into account.

Kay00 · 15/02/2021 14:23

Arthur William

CrazylazyJane · 15/02/2021 14:25

I think Oliver sits better with the vibe of your other children's names but Arthur is much cooler as a name.

MooreLew · 15/02/2021 14:25

Arthur William

BallsToYouSue · 15/02/2021 14:30

Arthur William by miles and miles Smile

I like it because I just think it's a much nicer sound. I prefer Arthur to Oliver and I prefer William to Benjamin. I think Arthur William sound much better together than Oliver Benjamin. So all in all an easy choice for me!

Maybemay123 · 15/02/2021 14:40

We must have similar taste as your current children's names were on my shortlist /used.
I like both names I think Oliver goes slightly better with your dcs names.
I'd be intrigued to know what your girls name is.

ILoveStickers · 15/02/2021 14:43

Arthur

Synchrony · 15/02/2021 14:46

I think Arthur William goes better because of the otherwise duplication of Oliver vs Olivia. But I prefer Benjamin to Oliver, Arthur and William!

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 15/02/2021 17:10

Oliver fits much better with Noah and and Grace for me. Arthur, although popular now, is more retro/old fashioned feeling than your other childrens names imo. I don't think the middle names matter much as most people won't know your daughters middle name is Olivia.

Diamondella · 15/02/2021 17:13

I think you should go for William Oliver.

Wrennie24 · 15/02/2021 17:42

Arthur is lovely. Lots of Olivers

Whatthebloodyell · 15/02/2021 17:44

Benjamin gets my vote.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 15/02/2021 17:46

Oliver gels better with your other choices, in my opinion. Classic and popular without being too 'now', if you see what I mean.

babynamelover · 15/02/2021 18:03

Noah, Grace & Oliver

Although your middles Benjamin and William would work too 😁.

I wouldn't go with Oliver if your DD's middle name is Olivia.

Mally2020 · 16/02/2021 03:51

favourite is oliver

IckleBear · 16/02/2021 07:29

I don't like either.

Oliver Benjamin - I prefer it and it goes better with your children’s names.

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 16/02/2021 11:28

Wow op they are both great! I think Oliver goes slightly better with your other children’s names. Why don’t you just wait and see what feels right when baby is born.

Am I allowed to ask your chosen girl name? I’m also due my 3rd in 2 weeks (a girl) and we obviously have similar taste!

I think we'll go with Oliver. It's the one I prefer out of the two as well. Dad prefers Arthur, haha. But no definite until we see what baby is and if the name suits. Our chosen girls name is Charlotte. It'll either be Charlotte Emilia or Charlotte Victoria (my middle is Victoria and Dad prefers this one) x
