What are your thoughts on the following girls names please

Magnolia nn Maggie

Fleur

Madeleine

I like the sound of Magnolia but would be put off by it being shorthand for 'the most boring paint colour you can pick'. I like the tree idea though. Hazel, Willow, Laurel, Juniper, Aspen, Holly.

Madeleine and Fleur are both quite nice.

Yep I thought of paint as soon as I saw Magnolia.

Magnolia should be great - but all I think of is bloody boring paint. Fleur I think is ugly - errrrr, bleeeugh.

Madeleine is gorgeous, quite classic and underused. My fave of your choices.

I've never liked the sound of Fleur, sorry - although I quite like the similar Flora.

Magnolia should be lovely but sounds a bit OTT somehow - the similar Magdalena (nn Maggie) is nice though.

I adore Magnolia and Maggie and Nola are super cute.

Fleur is okay always sounded quite harsh to me.

Madeleine is lovely and probably would stand out now the Madison craze is over.

Not really keen on any. Probably Fleur. Not keen on magnolia as associates forever now with dull paint rather than the beautiful tree.

I like Madeline but it's just ok.
Really dont like Fleur but that's because I'm Scottish and can't t say it without it sounding like Floor

Maggie is cute but Magnolia is considered the most boring paint colour ever which is unfortunate. Margaret or Magda? If your surname is Thatcher or Simpson then maybe not.

I prefer Flora to Fleur which makes me think Bleurgh. Madeline is a classic but people might not know about if you intended the name to end in "line" or "lin" if you find that sort of thing annoying.

Magnolia nn Maggie is fabulous. Magnolias are absolutely gorgeous trees, and it has a very ‘normal’ nickname in case she ever finds it too floral. It was on my list for dd actually, but Dh couldn’t get past Thatcher as an association for Maggie.

The magnolia paint association will fade as it’s a colour whose time has passed - grey is the new magnolia paint!

Fleur is also beautiful.

Love Magnolia and Maggie! Nit keen on the others. I see the DP's point to paint though...

I really like Magnolia but really dislike Maggie. I didn't even think paint colour until others mentioned it

Magnolia paint is so out now, that it’ll probably have some kind of retro ironic resurgence in about fifteen years time and she’ll be bang on trend as a teenager!
