PinkSkyBlue · 08/02/2021 23:18

Alice

Sophia or Sophie - I really like either of these.
Alice is nice for a middle name.
Grace - Sorry but I think it's really boring.

Just because the others are too common. All beautiful and classic!

SandAndSea · 09/02/2021 01:47

Grace.

Sophia

Treebranch · 09/02/2021 03:21

So far, I have it as:
Alice 50
Sophia/Sophie 41
Grace 20

Treebranch · 09/02/2021 03:22

For myself, I have no preference. They're all okay in a classic, popular, low risk kind of way. I picked similar types of names for my kids and I regret it now.

Sophia
( my daughter is Sophie so love the name, obviously).

Alice all the way.

Totally disagree. LOVE the Sofia spelling and I love placenames as given names, but I also love surnames on boys and dislike unisex names so I'm surprised I'm even allowed on MN.

MerryChristmasToYou · 09/02/2021 10:12

Sofia as a spelling is fine, but Sophia seems classier.

Place names as given names aren't great - I'm not sure I's want to be called Clapham or Bognor.
Unisex names could be a pain and tend to become girl's names.
Surnames as given names - depends on the name; George, James etc fine, Butcher or Slaughter maybe not.

Lots of languages use the Sofia spelling. It's not just a place name!!
