Lucy, Rory, and...

Expecting DC3... currently have a Lucy and a Rory.

We don't know the sex yet, so looking for both boys and girls names! I just can't think of any I love as much as the first two, so don't want to do DC3 a disservice!

Surname is McNeil.

Would you like the third name to be 2 syllables and end in y like the others, or would you prefer something different?

Thanks @Bluesername !! Some fab suggestions. I'm not averse to another 'y' ending, but by no means fixed on that, just looking for a name we love. We didn't choose Lucy and Rory for that reason, just loved the names.

I actually really really like Eliza (though MIL is Elizabeth and not sure I am keen on that connection?! Especially with the same surname.) And other girls I'd thought of were Nina and Anna, so I am maybe drawn to more of an 'a' ending this time round!

Boys names I'm completely beat with. I like Thomas / Tommy, but baby will have a cousin Thomas... so not sure we can do that. Tons of boy cousins, also a Daniel and an Aiden!! I'd thought about Owen? Thinking we want something quite short but quite strong. (Though I'm not really sure what that means!)

Just don't have that, wow, that's definitely the name!! Like I've had before!

When you are yelling at teenagers it's a pain to have them end in the same sound - Lucy! Rory! From behind their locked bedroom door and with headphones on they won't know you are shouting for them. So I would avoid another Y ending one!

I was going to suggest Sam, but maybe not with McNeil!

So I'll offer Clara and Ben. Smile

ILoveShula · 05/02/2021 14:59

I'd avoid a name ending in -a or -ah

e.g. Lara rO'neill or Ezra rO'neill

You need one syllable.
