That's it really. Which do you prefer? No harsh comments please as these are definitely final 2 and due in 9 days.

Elsie Florence. Thinking nicknames mainly as I don’t like Flo or Flora.

KatyClaire · 31/01/2021 17:36

Elsie Florence flows better imo, and Elsie is a less common name than Florence.

Florence Elsie

Florence Elsie is nice.

While Florence is popular, it has an elegant, grown up feel to me that Elsie doesn't (thanks to Florence Nightingale and Welch and the Italian City).

I like Elisabeth (nn Elsie) or Elsa, but I find Elsie as a given name too cutesy and a tiny bit downmarket, sorry (it has a Victorian parlour maid image to me).

Florence Elsie

I would definitely put Florence first

pontiouspilates · 31/01/2021 20:14

Either is lovely as they are the names of both of my Grandmothers. Congratulations OP Flowers

Elsie Florence. Lovely.

Toddlerteaplease · 31/01/2021 20:47

Elsie is terrible.

WellityWellityWellity · 31/01/2021 22:24

Florence Elsie! I love Florence. Very elegant, but also cute for a little one.

Congratulations Flowers

Ha! Isn't that funny??
ClementineFox · 31/01/2021 22:31

Florence Elsie, although both are beautiful. Congrats OP!

Florence Elsie

MercyBodle · 01/02/2021 03:37

Both are lovely. For overall flow I think Elsie Florence sounds best, but you rarely use the middle so I would go on my favourite first name, which is Florence.

@Toddlerteaplease

Elsie is terrible.
There's always one. Ignore this OP, if I expressed how insignificant this poster is my comment would be deleted.

I prefer how 'Elsie Florence' sounds as a whole name, but I just love the name Florence, so would personally go 'Florence Elsie'.

AntiHop · 01/02/2021 04:50

Elsie Florence, but put Elizabeth on her birth certificate as it gives her more options.

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 01/02/2021 08:01

Elsie Florence! I think it sounds better and also don't think Elsie will date any more than Florence will.

Tidypidy · 01/02/2021 08:02

There are 3 girls called Florence in our reception class at school so it must be very popular at the moment. I'd go for Elsie.

Porridgeoat · 01/02/2021 08:07

Florence Elsie

Porridgeoat · 01/02/2021 08:08

Elisabeth Florence is amazing though

Ineedsleepzz · 01/02/2021 08:11

Love love love the names!

I'm really struggling to choose which way round is best.

Maybe Elsie Florence x

RainingBatsAndFrogs · 01/02/2021 08:29

Elsie Florence is easier to say.

Both are lovely names.
